Inside Story: Space Ibiza SA Tour

Space Ibiza SA

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SAMSUNG #GALAXYEXPERIENCE

The space shuttle has taken off and the propulsion engines have left a resonance of intergalactic music in the air! The inaugural Samsung Galaxy Experience Space Ibiza on tour South Africa has lifted off into the hearts and minds of all those cadets that attended the events at Shimmy Beach Club in Cape Town and Nicci Beach Street Party in Johannesburg.

Revellers streamed through the door in anticipation of what the ‘World’s Best Club’ had to offer South Africa for the very first time. A stage production that could withstand the ferocity of Mars, lighting that could be seen from the moon and a DJ line-up that blasted everyone into orbit was witnessed by capacity crowds at both venues. The galactic dance music spectacle was piloted by Space Ibiza resident DJ’s Roger Sanchez, Camilo Franco & Danny Marquez who ensured that the heat sensors on the shuttle were at maximum temperature for the audience. Alongside them was the very best SA has to offer with Pascal & Pearce, Monique Pascal, Lady M, Gareth Devore, Dean Fuel, Chris Jack, Rocca & Martini, Royal K, Kyle Worde, Spindoctor, Peter Booth, Justin Miller and Kyle Cassim.

‘Another successful G&G Productions event has taken place and we know that all who attended has a great time! We are looking forward to bringing more of the top international events to South Africa in the near future.’ Says Greg Walsh, MD of G&G Productions. All in all, a successful Space Ibiza on tour mission has been accomplished and after the inaugural flight in 2013, 2014 will see the launch pad being prepped again for another voyage into the ‘World’s Best Club’ for South Africa.

The 25th Blouberg Beach Cleanup

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Another great turnout at our last beach cleanup - the 25th cleanup held by Blouberg Beach cleanup. It was super windy but still super lekka! Inrichmint Media Studios is pushing for a Southern Suburbs addition.

Its is great to see how families are getting involved and coming down to the beach to spend some quality time together while cleaning up the beach. Sunset beach is also becoming a regular fixture on the cleanup schedule. We also held our 2nd cleanup in Strand - a massive success with over 200kgs of litter been cleared off the beach.

We are also happy to announce that we're starting up a cleanup in Melkbos - which will also be held on the first Saturday of every month! Next cleanups in Blouberg, Strand and Melkbos will all be on the 6th of April.

Thanks to the Community Polising Forum - Tableview for their representation as well as Manors for Minors and View Church Sunningdale for getting some people together to come and help out.

Leading & Following Photo Collection

Murad Osman (7)

He graduated as a civil engineer from Imperial College London, but like with so many of us, we get to a point and we make the choice to change careers to focus on our passions or better options. He decided to follow his dreams with his love for photography and started his own production company. Russian photographer Murad Osman started his journey in Barcelona in October 2011. He’s published countless photographs on his Instagram page, currently sitting on almost 25,000 followers.

'The first photo happened in Barcelona while we were on vacation 'Nataly was a bit annoyed that I was always taking pictures of everything, so she grabbed my hand and tried to pull me forward. That said it didn't stop me from doing photos while she was pulling me. So that's how it all started.' Murad told Mail Online.

A journalist from Moscow, was the inspiration behind his unusual collection said Murad  about Nataly Zakharova. Nataly is Murad’s girlfriend featured in his photographs. He was quite happy to let her lead him from one corner of the globe to the other. Taking her hand he let her take the lead and capture some incredible moments along the way.  He’s documented their travels from a specific perspective where he is led by the hand of his beautiful lady.

Murad Osmann has gifted us with a collection that captures epic adventures from the Far East to all corners of the west, a pretty romantic set of images that carry power emotion. I know the girls will love it, the guys will debate some, many will snub it and then of course most of us can stop to appreciate the absolute beauty that the art of photography and imagery brings to our lives. There is always a common thread that binds us together.

Naked Raver Interview with Joanne Stclair

Naked Raver is a woman who is young in years and yet eternal in Spirit. She has the wisdom of a sage because she views the world through the eyes of a child. Her mere presence uplifts and harmonises all those with whom she comes into contact. And her words enlighten even the darkest of minds and the heaviest of hearts.

Inrichmint Media Studios: How did you get involved in Naked Raver, and where did your journey begin, where was the relationship established? Jo: Naked Raver started life as a book in 2011/12, a real life account of a vision I had in Amsterdam eleven years ago. As man and wife for ten years, Daniel and I have always supported and worked together, albeit in 2011/12 we were each concentrating on our own specific fields of interest – mine being writing, and Daniel’s being music and design. As Daniel edited and read the book (titled Naked Raver: The Meaning of Life), he came to fully understand my experience, realising that I had described and experienced the full vision he has held in his mind since he was a teenager. This was when we joined forces and Naked Raver was born (launching Sept 2012).

Inrichmint Media Studios: What drives your passion when it comes to Naked Raver? Jo: People and the spiritual power contained within them, a power that guides them to an amazing place of joy, happiness, beauty, abundance – basically all the great feelings that everyone seeks in their life, especially women. Women are amazing forces for strength and harmony, for love and encouragement, being the natural nurturers of mankind. However, many get lost and confused along life’s journey, causing them to thwart their potential in the home, at work, and at play.

Naked Raver is our way of interpreting this, of guiding women to think differently; of reminding them how fabulous and beautiful they are. We see every woman as being unique and essential to life, and we speak to them via music, books, great artwork, and eventually fashion.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What endorsements and sponsorships does Naked Raver have? Jo: None

Inrichmint Media Studios: How can people get involved in Naked Raver? Jo: We offer opportunities to licensees for our range of artwork, as well as producing commisioned pieces for one off third party projects. We deliver uplifting feelgood workshops to groups, either privately (e.g. hen night, girly event) or in the workplace, and we are currently looking to offer opportunities for Naked Raver Ambassadors to get involved on a smaller scale (see details on website),the aim being to reach out to small circles of women online.

If this isn't what someone is looking for, then they can access our music online and set themselves free to it i.e. turn up the tunes and have a good dance, alone or with friends!

There are various social media channels (see website www.thenakedraver.com) where we can be accessed (Twitter, FB, Linkedin  Pinterest, Soundcloud).

Inrichmint Media Studios: What has been your biggest Naked Raver achievement to date? Jo: We are a very new company, being just four months old. For me, the actual conception of the company feels like a wonderful achievement, because it seems that, out of nowhere, an entity that embodies the combined passions of its founders has been formed. People are loving what we are doing, and the name itself adds a nice cheeky element to business, ensuring that we can always push the boundaries and do the unexpected!!

Just before we launched, we were invited to the Preston Guild Trade Procession, an event that happens every 20 years. For this we had a sizable Foamex board printed with a couple of our images on. As we passed the 100 000 strong crowd, we saw the words Naked Raver coming from many peoples mouths, and a social marketing business behind us said, Naked Raver is going viral!! Right then, we knew we were onto something.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who, as in a person not an institution, personally inspires you? Jo: Jean of Arc. I love the way she was determined in Faith, taking her place as a seventeen year old peasant girl amongst the army ranks of experts, leading them to victory in a way they had never known before – unlearned, untrained, inexperienced.

There are others too, the underlying factor always being about a magnificent vision for life being driven by an unwavering faith, a Universal love for people, and a reverence for the Intelligent Creator of life.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Which blogs, digital and print publications do you read and follow? Jo: I don’t tend to follow blogs – I do a lot of book reading – this is my preferred choice.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What’s pipelined for Naked Raver and yourself at the moment? Jo: Over the coming months, Naked Raver will release a series of dance tracks in the build up to an album mid summer time. There are plans to take a range of NR greeting cards into independent/boutique shops.

The cover for my first book, Statue in the Square, has been redesigned to bring it under the Naked Raver brand, and this shall be re-released in March (it has charted in the top 10 of its genre several times in both the UK and the States, Kindle and paperback). I am currently working on two new books, one of which shall be released later this year.

Our focus over the next six months is geared towards raising awareness of the brand, and ensuring that we give great product(s) to the public.

Inrichmint Media Studios: In your opinion what brings magic to Naked Raver? Jo: The magic is in its ethos and vibe, its language and style. We produce great artwork, words, and music, our goal being to ensure the factor of ‘cool’ and ‘accessibility’ to the 20-40 age range in all that we do.

Naked Raver has become a presence in her own right, as though she has her own personality. She loves life, she loves dancing, she loves embracing others and encouraging them to greatness. Daniel and I simply feed this personality.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Which series have you watched from start to finish and now waiting on the next episode for download? Jo: I am currently watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (second season). This is the first reality show of this type I have watched. The characters in it are giving me great ideas for the personalities in the book I am working on. It is female based with lots of ego i.e. falseness – so this ties in perfectly with my subject matter.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Choose one thing from the Naked Raver wishlist. Jo: A packed club going crazy  - whistles, cheers, shouts - as the first few bars of Ocean come booming over the sound system  A woman dancing on her own in her home going crazy – whistles, cheers, shouts – as the first few bars of Ocean come booming over her stereo!!

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where do you see yourself and Naked Raver in 10 years’ time? Jo: Basically having lots of fun, with Naked Raver fans/customers being like a global family. I believe Daniel and I are part of a vision that is playing itself out – one that was given each of us before we met – and we are the channels of expression for this vision. Wherever we are in ten years, I know it is going to be an amazing place, although exactly what we shall be doing, I do not know nor do I wish to limit its expression. We love what we are doing, we are sowing some fantastic seeds……so ten years….watch out!!

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who are you personally trying to reach through Naked Raver? Jo: You know those female friends you have whom have deep, passionate, caring, thoughtful and loyal personalities, but something stops their full expression? They may feel insecure and conscious of what others think. They may have been hurt in their upbringing or in love, and therefore harbor some distrust for the world.

They may limit their abilities because they don’t believe in themselves. They may lack an understanding of their inherent power because those around them lack this awareness too. However, these people have taste and style, they like having fun, they can laugh loud and see the humor in things, they can party hard and chill with the cool but, when the dark cloud descends, they battle with themselves, looking for change but unsure of where to find it.

These are the people I am trying to personally reach. The women who are good friends to the world but whom need a helping hand to unleash their full potential upon it.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who would you most like to meet, spend an evening with over dinner and a bottle of something good? Jo: Surprise me!

Inrichmint Media Studios: What can you simply just not live without? Jo: Take something away and then I’ll let you know how I go on!

Inrichmint Media Studios: What upcoming events do you have planned where Naked Raver will be involved or hosting, where people can support and that are open to the public? Jo: No dates/events planned as yet

Inrichmint Media Studios: What was the last book you read? Jo: The Man Who Tapped the Secrets of the Universe, Walter Russell

Inrichmint Media Studios: Are you a lover of Indian food, Thai, Italian, Seafood, Braai the South African way or are you for Veggie Cuisine all the way? Jo: Huge fan of Indian and Thai food, have never tried Braai the SA way. Three months ago I turned vegan and am looking forward to fully exploiting this type of cuisine.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where is your favourite place in the world? Jo: I have love affairs with Brighton (UK), Greece, Amsterdam, Thailand, and L.A. but the most appealing place I have yet to venture is Hawaii. Daniel and I talk about a beautiful Naked Raver HQ retreat here.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where can we find out more about you and what you do? Jo: Statue in the Square, by Joanne St.Clair, my debut book, available via Amazon (check out author page) company website with details and links to social media channels. Internet search will reveal various articles and interviews. http:///www.thenakedraver.com

Inrichmint Media Studios: What is the best piece of advice you have been given, ever? Jo: Focus only on the moment at hand, injecting love into everything you do, even the menial and mundane tasks.

Daniel Orlick Naked Raver Interview

Naked Raver is a woman who is young in years and yet eternal in Spirit. She has the wisdom of a sage because she views the world through the eyes of a child. Her mere presence uplifts and harmonises all those with whom she comes into contact. And her words enlighten even the darkest of minds and the heaviest of hearts.

Inrichmint Media Studios: How did you get involved in Naked Raver, and where did your journey begin, where was the relationship established?

Inrichmint Media Studios: What drives your passion when it comes to Naked Raver?

For me it is a genuine passion to help humanity continue its progression toward a world filled with harmonious and peaceful living for all. From my perspective, a higher self-confidence and sense of fulfillment within the females of our world, as well as a deeper respect for all nature’s life forms will change the dynamics and chemistry of our society for the better, bringing those ideals of happiness within our reach. For this reason, I intend to use all of my talents within Naked Raver, whether through music, art, design, or literary verse, to further these goals.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What endorsements and sponsorships does Naked Raver have?

Inrichmint Media Studios: How can people get involved in Naked Raver?

Sharing our music online, as well as our blog postings and images with others.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What has been your biggest Naked Raver achievement to date?

Naked Raver is only a few months old, so really the conception of our brand is the greatest achievement thus far.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who, as in a person not an institution, personally inspires you?

I find that inspiration comes to me at the least expected moments, sometimes from the least expected people. Many would likely be surprised if they knew of all the unique ways in which they moved me along on my journey. For this reason, other than my closest family members, I think it would be unfair and innacurate to single out one or two.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Which blogs, digital and print publications do you read and follow?

I regularly visit various photography, art, music, and fashion blogs, as well as nature and science periodicals. As far as printed material, I’m a long-term National Geographic enthusiast, but I also thumb through music & fashion magazines for fresh ideas.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What’s pipelined for Naked Raver and yourself at the moment?

Releasing more music tracks online and getting the artwork onto merchandise.

Inrichmint Media Studios: In your opinion what brings magic to Naked Raver?

All our magic comes from an immense commitment to our vision, and the genuine conviction within ourselves that we can really pull it off and make a huge difference in the world. I’ve found that once you’ve got that combination of intense faith and focus, all the “magic” in the world comes to your aid.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Which series have you watched from start to finish and now waiting on the next episode for download?

I don’t watch loads of television, however I am quite a “nature nerd,” so when I do, it is usually along the lines of BBC documentaries on plants and animals. I also take in a generous amount of catwalk footage from fashion shows on Youtube to help gather ideas for Naked Raver designs. Ironically, during the recording of my song “Ocean,” I watched a brillant BBC miniseries called Ocean Giants where they showed how dolphins and whales are even more intelligent  and compassionate than we had previously given them credit for.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where do you see yourself and Naked Raver in 10 years’ time?

Playing music, sharing artwork and fashion, cultivating the brand on a global scale, uplifting the ladies and spreading peace, on each and every continent of our planet.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who are you personally trying to reach through Naked Raver?

Women of all backgrounds, to help them to experience the concept of being a girl in this world in a different light and to contribute to our society in a more peacefully empowered manner, so that through this we can effect everyone and everything on Earth, male and female, human and non-human.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who would you most like to meet, spend an evening with over dinner and a bottle of something good?

I have always found that the best meetings come by surprise, so I would say whoever we’re truly meant to meet at the right moment is most welcome by me. In truth, what would immensely excite me is meeting people whose lives have been changed by discovering the work we do at Naked Raver.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What can you simply just not live without?

My wonderfully designed human body made up of trillions of cells, as well as all the microscopic organisms inside that digest my food for me after I’ve eaten. Also, without plants, no humans or animals could possibly live on Earth. (I hope that answers your question….:-)

Inrichmint Media Studios: What upcoming events do you have planned where Naked Raver will be involved or hosting, where people can support and that are open to the public?

Inrichmint Media Studios: What was the last book you read?

I read sections of multiple books at once while I piece the parallels together in my brain. Here ‘s a couple I’ve just been reading simultaneously….Tao te Ching by Lao Tzu, Thousand Years of Women’s Poetry compiled by Fiona Pagett

Inrichmint Media Studios: Are you a lover of Indian food, Thai, Italian, Seafood, Braai the South African way or are you for Veggie Cuisine all the way?

I enjoy many of those foods and am very open-minded when it comes to my tastebuds, however, as I am on an exquisitely vegan diet, it must be the plant-based options from the menu.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where is your favourite place in the world?

Truthfully, I am head over heels in love with wherever I am at any time, but I must confess that I have a beautiful mistress called Hawaii.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where can we find out more about you and what you do?

Naked Raver website, Facebook, Soundcloud, Pinterest

Inrichmint Media Studios: What is the best piece of advice you have been given, ever?

By far the greatest piece of advice came to me when I was looking in the mirror with noone else around. But at that moment, I realised that many people had said this same thing to me many times over in many different ways, Here it is… “Get over yourself. Accept who you are, both that which appears ugly and beautiful from within you. Embrace every bit of you. Be at peace with the whole of your being. Once you’ve done this, get on with what you were born to do, have of lots of fun doing it, and love the whole entire world as your own self in the process, because that’s what they are.”

“The Cape Town Electronic Music Festival was a defining moment for the local electronic music scene, now clearly marked on the international map but more importantly in the hearts and minds of its South African followers.” – Whatsonincapetown.co.za, April 2012

March 2012 saw a selection of Cape Town?s electronic music scene come together in celebration of its existence. Through a series of development workshops, Satellite events and a core 3 day festival the process of presenting an annual look into the multi facets of South Africa?s electronic music scene had begun.

Now one year on, the CTEMF proudly reopens it window onto the ever-growing world of

South Africa?s electronic music scene Once again we reach back to the roots of how it all started, and discover what continues to inspire. Who has progressed and why and who are the names to watch. Which global artists shape trends in South Africa and more importantly who are the South African artists that are shaping trends globally.

2013 sees CTEMF proudly welcoming its first International guest, non other than Richie Hawtin. As one of the initial role players in the global Techno movement in early 90?s, he has continued to be a driving force both on and off stage, positioning him currently as number 2 Artist in Resident Advisor?s 2012 DJ poll.

Locally, CTEMF will once again present a selection of the absolute cream of the crop of our Electronic Music Scene. From scene originators and business leaders to the up & coming mavericks and industry revolutionaries.

There is no other festival like it in South Africa. It?s an ongoing, comprehensive collection and celebration of the ever-growing electronic music scene both locally and abroad. The CTEMF continues to strive for an inclusive view of the scene around it - Past, Present & Future.

Once again you are invited to rearrange your sonic geography.

Time with Greenpop

Greenpop

Everyone knows that we, as in the human race, are not really looking so hot at the moment, or perhaps a little too hot if you been watching the news and pay attention to how many times you hear a feature presenting something to do with Global Warming issues and developments. Jax Freer, from Inrichmint Media Studios, went on the hunt to find a professional super hero on behalf of The Spark Project, and caught up with Misha Teasdale, the Director of Greenpop, one of SA’s most popular environmental sustainability and a green focus project with pure power. Here's what she had to say:

Inrichmint Media Studios: When was GreenPop Established?

Misha Teasdale: Greenpop was established in 2010 with my partners Lauren O’Donnell and Jeremy Hewitt.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What is the drive behind GreenPop?

Misha Teasdale: Our amazing team and constant support from volunteers.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who endorses and sponsors GreenPop projects?

Misha Teasdale: We work very closely with Makulu productions, and Greenpop would not exist without the support of companies like Recycle 1st, African impact, g-mo footwear, Zambezi Nkuku, Reliance Compost, Diatsu, Bos Ice Tea, Silver Banana, Greenshebeen, Ramsey Media, and Jagermeister to name a few.

Inrichmint Media Studios: How can people get involved?

Misha Teasdale: People can get their hands dirty and volunteer to plant with our team, planting mainly at schools and community centers around the Cape Town area. They can also pledge trees or buy a tree keyring from us. Each tree ring goes towards planting one tree and with it we give you the GPS coordinates where that tree was planted.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What has been the biggest GreenPop achievement to date?

Misha Teasdale: We recently returned from our ‘Trees for Zambia’ project. It was inspiring. During the 3 weeks we were in Zambia, we helped plant over 4 000 trees with over 100 international volunteers and 100 local volunteers. It’s an ongoing project as we work with  the schools and sites in Zambia to continue to monitor the trees.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who, as in a person not an institution, personally inspires you?

Misha Teasdale: Wangari Maathai.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Which blogs and print publications do you read?

Misha Teasdale: Mahala, The Daily Maverick, and Hayibo.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What is in the pipeline for GreenPop at the moment?

Misha Teasdale: More trees, more change.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who is behind the magic of GreenPop?

Misha Teasdale: Definitely our amazing staff and volunteer base.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Which series have you watched from start to finish and now waiting on the next episode for download?

Misha Teasdale: I don’t watch TV.

Inrichmint Media Studios: If you chose one thing off the GreenPop wishlist what would it be?

Misha Teasdale: We really need a people carrier car to help transport volunteers

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?

Misha Teasdale: Living in a tree house in the forest.

Inrichmint Media Studios: How did you get into the green industry?

Misha Teasdale: I’ve always been interested in the industry. I studied Industrial design and did my thesis on sustainability, but I found myself in the industry when Greenpop came about.  Greenpop grew from a campaign to offset my carbon footprint. The aim was to plant 1 000 trees in a month, but eager volunteers made it apparent that there was a need for the trees. The idea took off and Greenpop was born.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Who would you most like to meet, spend an evening with over dinner and a bottle of something good?

Misha Teasdale: I would love to drink more wine with my girlfriend.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What can you simply just not live without?

Misha Teasdale: Coffee.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What upcoming events, that people can support and that are open to the public do you have planned where GreenPop will be involved or hosting?

Misha Teasdale: We will be putting on the Earthdome activation at Earth Dance. We will also be at Walking the Daisies, and Rocking the Daisies this year. Then at the end of October, we will be putting on the Youth Summit for the Sustain Our Africa Conference.

Inrichmint Media Studios: What was the last book you read?

Misha Teasdale: The Man Who Planted Trees, A really beuatiful novel about global genetics and the loss of some of the world’s oldest and most beautiful trees.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Are you a lover of Indian food, Thai, Italian, Seafood, Braai the South African way or are you for Veggie Cuisine all the way?

Misha Teasdale: All, so long as it is Veggie.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where is your favourite place in the world?

Misha Teasdale: Hogsback in the Eastern Cape.

Inrichmint Media Studios: Where can we find out more about you and what you do?

Misha Teasdale: Visit the Greenpop website or find us on twitter (@GreenpopSA) and facebook!

Inrichmint Media Studios: What is the best piece of advice you have been given, ever?

Misha Teasdale: In life, with passion and horse-power and you can achieve anything.
